Where does this wine come from?
The place called Les Pouches is located at the gates of Montreuil-Bellay, the last walled city of Anjou. The vineyard of Pouches is located on a mound composed of a shallow soil of very hard limestones, which have historically been used for the construction of the Château de Montreuil-Bellay. Favorable hillside exposure provides good soil drainage and early maturity.
How was it designed?
The five winemakers from Les Pouches work closely together all year long, to reveal the best potential of the ten small parcels selected for this vintage. These Chenin Blancs are harvested from the first days of harvesting white Saumur, to ensure a high aromatic intensity on a profile of fresh fruits and citrus fruits. Delicate pneumatic pressing and careful trimming. Vinification followed with temperature control (17 to 19 ° C) to preserve the aromatic potential of white Chenin. Early bottling to reserve all the freshness of the bouquet.
