Terroir

Where does this wine come from?

Fruit of a know-how that men and women of the cellar pass from generation to generation, this wine is dedicated to paying tribute to those who like Robert and Marcel have contributed to the development of the cellar.
From Chenin Blanc (100%) located on the hillside surrounding the fortress of Berrie, this terroir is dominated by Turonian limestones. The plot of one hectare has a naturally low yield, with a few small bunches per stock, very golden at the time of the harvest.

Winemaking

How was it produced?

Manual harvest at the end of October, when the harvest has reached the beginning of over-maturity. Transport in boxes and delicate pneumatic pressing of whole bunches. Slight settling. The aging in French oak barrels of 400L for twelve to fourteen months in our natural tuffeau galleries brings complexity and elegance. After bottling, breeding continues for twelve months before marketing.
